7 Mar 2009 – Removed the rear bumper and bumperettes, gas tank straps and started drilling out the spot welds holding the tail panel on.
8 Mar 2009 – Continued working on drilling spot welds on the tail panel.
17 Mar 2009 – Ordered a Goodmark trunk pan and trunk extensions from Radical Rods in Columbia, IL today. Will take a while for it to come in as they wait for multiple orders to stack up and place an order, splitting the shipping costs.
21 Mar 2009 – Found an AAR hood on Craigslist.org from Eric in Decatur for $550. Major Score!!! He included two each of interior passenger & drivers side rear side panels and a passenger and driver’s side door panels.
23 Mar 2009 – With a little help from Mr. Sawz-All and Mr. Air Chisel, the tail panel is out!!!

Wow man, you arent wasting any time!
Working on the car is a gentle, delicate balance. Spending time with the family, yeilds time I can spend on the car!!! LOL! It’s been fun so far. No major hick-ups…knock on wood!

Absolutely a score on the AAR hood. If I remember correctly a buddy of mine that had an AAR Cuda once told me that the front fender wheel openings are different (?) Maybe they were a little larger for deeper rims or something? Anyway just one of those things tucked away in whats left of my mind. You plan on it being B5 blue?
Hey Chris! I was surprised I got one. I thought I’d be on the hunt for one ’til the cows came home. Plans are to go LimeLight with a black vinyl top. But then again, I have time to change my mind! LOL!!!
Cheers,
Sean
